Over the past few months, I’ve started to watch many of the TED Talks - “Inspired talks from the world’s leading thinkers & doers” - and this one by Kevin Kelly, founding executive director of Wired magazine, continues to stick with me. To me, what Kelly says about the future of the web is inevitably true.

As I’ve started to seek a job in the digital realm, it’s amused me how interested some of my friends and family are in my reasoning and my affinity for the online space. It can be easy to explain if they know what Google, Facebook or Twitter are, but really, I think the best way to explain my enthusiasm for the web is to show this video.

5000 days… 13.7 years… Compared to a lot of other things that are forever present in our lives, that’s nothing. There’s a helluva lot more to come!
