2 great sites I’ve recently discovered…
- popurls.com - An aggregator that dishes out links to all the latest web buzz. Here you get to see what everyone is talking about in one place. The news comes from all over, but much of it is from popular and reputable sources.
- readbag.com - A reading organizer that allows you to easy keep track of all the interesting things online. It’s like using bookmarks or favorites, only better because you can write notes about the links and store everything online. It’s incredibly simple. All you need is a Google account to log in, and you can then access your readbag from anywhere, including your phone.
Coincidently, both of these sites were developed by a guy named Thomas Marban, an Austrian “web maverick”. I’ve been doing a little research on him and he’s got some great ideas/concepts going. His company, tomatic, “funds, creates and operates web properties for various niches that matter to people and comply with three principles: practical, sublime and profitable.” This exactly what I would like to do someday - create, fund, and operate entities (web/media) that matter. Very cool.
